Our volunteers help low-income students in grades 1 through 6 with reading and writing after school -- and we need you to join our team! Our students' parents do not have adequate English skills to help their children with academics, but they do realize how important school success is. With help from our volunteers -- and the dedication of our parents and students -- these young people can become successful learners in school and on the road beyond! As a Vecinos Unidos volunteer who listens to our students read aloud and shares the joy of storytelling, you can see it happen front of your eyes! Volunteers are needed Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday during the school year from 4:30-6:00 p.m. Join us as we begin our 22nd year making a difference in the lives of our students! The program is located at the Herndon Neighborhood Resource Center, 1086 Elden St., Herndon, VA 20170
