City of Mountlake Terrace familiarity tour

We are looking for a travel counselor for our Lynnwood Visitor Information Center located at Heritage Park in Lynnwood. This center is a relaxed slow paced center where you can read a book or do your college homework in between visitors.

Our current available shifts are:

Friday mornings 9am to 12pm

Friday afternoons 12pm to 4pm

You must be willing to work by yourself or with a partner, speak proficient English and enjoying talking with people and helping them find activities, accommodations or places to eat.

Volunteers are part of our staff and are treated well. We provide orientation and training and keep you up to date so you can do your job well through staff meetings, familiarization tours and newsletters. We are a fun group that enjoys getting together. Annually we host a summer picnic, holiday party and recognition luncheon. We work with our tourism businesses to provide tours and in-kind donations to our volunteers throughout the year.

The Snohomish County Visitor Information Centers is a program of the Snohomish County Tourism Bureau. The bureau's mission is to promote, develop and expand the tourism economy of Snohomish County. Our visitor information centers provide information and personal referrals to visitors from nearby and from around the globe.

Description

Snohomish County Tourism Bureau maintains year-round visitor information centers powered by our volunteer staff. Our centers are located in Lynnwood, Arlington and the City of Snohomish. The Bureau also assists meeting planners, tour operators and the public in finding suitable event venues. The bureau publishes various guides including a Snohomish County Visitor Guide and various specialized brochures.
