If you enjoy reading and want to share that joy with others, you can be a literacy tutor. Our learners are adults who want to improve their reading, writing, and language skills. It takes empathy and patience to work with adult learners because jobs, children, or any number of life distractions have interfered with them studying on their own. If you can commit to meeting with a learner for one to two hours per week, we will provide the free space and instructional materials the two of you will need. Attendance at one of our Basic Tutor Training Classes is required before you can be paired with a learner.
