When?
- Saturday, December 2 from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Where?
- Downtown Encinitas - Coast Highway 101
- Moonlight Beach Parking Lot
What is Needed?
- Parade Route Monitors Hand out Parade Programs.
Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age.
- Monitor spectators along route (keep spectators behind
Parade line in the street out of parade route)
- Assist with keeping parade route moving
What do we ask of you?
- Honor your commitment (please check your calendar).
- Stay at appointed post from 5:00 - 8:30 PM
- Bring a flashlight
- Wear special vest and nametag provided at check-in
What do you receive?
- Special Volunteer Certificate for your service to the community
- A fun and rewarding experience
- Community Service Hours if needed

Mission Statement
The Recreation Services Division is responsible for planning and administering recreation services for youth, teens, adults and senior citizens.
Description
The Recreation Services Division is responsible for planning and implementing city-wide special events, such as the Easter Egg Hunt and the Holiday Parade, recreation programming, field use scheduling, staffing the Senior Citizen and Youth Commissions, Family Enrichment Program, Teen Expo, Open Gym Program, the Senior Fair, coordination of park dedications and volunteers, and monitoring Project C.A.R.E.
This Division provides a variety of recreational, educational and sports activities to the public on a fee-for-use basis. Fees are designed to subsidize direct program costs, such as contractual staff, services and supplies, and other related expenditures.
