Mission Statement

Our mission since 1899 is to heal, to discover, and to educate as a preeminent healthcare institution. We serve by providing the best integrated and innovative care for patients and their families; by understanding and finding cures for the diseases we research; and by educating and training the next generation of healthcare professionals to be leaders in medicine and science.

Description

Since 1998, National Jewish Health has been ranked the #1 respiratory hospital in the nation by U.S. News and World Report. In the forefront of a new era in medicine, National Jewish's number one priority continues to be our patients through clinical care and research done on their behalf. Besides respiratory diseases, we also treat and research cancer, HIV, cardiology, etc. We treat adults and children.

For 110 years, volunteers have been a key component for our institution, providing ongoing and dedicated support and assistance to our staff, the patients we serve and their families. No matter what the volunteer role, volunteers are a valuable resource and their time is truly appreciated. The essence of volunteerism is the spirit of services to others. Our goal is to continue to serve patients while providing the volunteer with a challenging and satisfying experience.
