Homework Club
Helping children excel

The Oak View Branch is seeking volunteers to assist elementary and middle school students with their homework in all subject areas. During the second semester there is an emphasis on helping students with special assignments/reports and projects.

Individuals must: be motivated to help kids; thrive in a busy environment; be team players; and, get along with co-workers. Having a background in education is helpful but not required. The ability to speak and write in English is necessary.

Time Commitment: A minimum of one day per week during the school year.

Homework Club Schedule:

  • Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursdays from 2 pm to 5 pm
  • Wednesdays from 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm

Spanish skills are a plus but not required.

Volunteers 18 years or older must have a background check completed.

Those under age 18 must be in 9th grade or higher.

2 Shifts

  • 12:30 PM to 04:30 PM
    volunteer Homework Club Helpers are needed Monday, Tuesdays, and Thursday 2-5 p.m. AND Wednesday 12:30-4:30 during the school year (September-June).
  • 02:00 PM to 05:00 PM
    volunteer Homework Club Helpers are needed Monday, Tuesdays, and Thursday 2-5 p.m. AND Wednesday 12:30-4:30 during the school year (September-June).
