Women borrowers so grateful for an opportunity to work their way out of poverty!

We are currently seeking high energy key volunteers who are interested in sharing their passion to help poor women and their professional level expertise or very strong background in fundraising.

The Greater Contribution is a non-profit organization which raises funds to help poor women work their way out of poverty through the use of micro loans. We are based in Thousand Oaks, CA .

In the last eleven years of operation, this remarkable group has funded over 13,000 micro loans to help women start small businesses and work their way out of poverty. With 2.7 billion people worldwide struggling to live on $2/day, there is much to be done to overcome this devastating poverty and we need to expand our work.

As a Fund Raising Champion, depending on your expertise and experience, you will attend monthly meetings, possibly co-chair a Development Committee, create and execute fundraising events or. You will participate in strategic planning and decision making to ensure that the goals established by the Board of Directors are met. This role may transition to a Board Member position.

We are an organization founded by women seeking to make a greater contribution to the world. We focus on raising funds and awareness to help women pull themselves out of poverty, knowing that when women are helped, they help their families and their communities. In our first 15 years of operation, we have provided over 18,000 micro loans to help women start small businesses and work their way out of poverty in Uganda, East Africa.
