The Employment Skills Center is looking for a volunteer receptionist who is friendly and presents a professional demeanor. Duties of the position include: greeting the public, answering and forwarding calls, answering basic questions about Employment Skills Center programs, and light clerical work.
We are asking for a commitment of 2 days per week, 6 hours total (i.e. Monday/Wednesday 1:30-4:30).
Must be able to pass a criminal background check and provide 2 character references.
Must have a High school diploma or equivalent.

Description
For 53 years, the Employment Skills Center has been helping individuals become more employable, productive, and self-sufficient community members through Education and Training. We are a community based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, a Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) authorized Adult Education provider, and a United Way partner agency.
Formed in 1967, we have served more than 18,000 individuals in Carlisle and Cumberland County, helping them to become more self-sufficient and productive citizens. The adults that we serve are in need of improving their basic literacy skills, acquiring job-readiness and employability skills, passing the GED examination, and refining their life skills to enable greater achievements.
