The Saucon Valley Conservancy will host its Annual Holiday Gathering and "Best of Show" by the Lehigh Valley Photography Club on Monday, December. 5, 2016, from 6pm to 9pm at the Heller Homestead, 1890-92 Friedensville Road, Lower Saucon Township.
"Best of Show" by Lehigh Valley Photography Club will be on display from during the open house.
Docents dressed in vintage clothing, will take visitors on a "Journey through Time Room by Room" at the historic Heller Homestead. Rooms with period furnishings will offer guests a chance to experience the past as they step back in time to see treasures from a bygone era. The Widow’s House has three rooms to view representing the 1850s through the 1900s and features a beehive oven in the kitchen. The Heller House offers a 1950s Kitchen, a 1930s Living Room, a 1900s Bedroom, and a 1880s Victorian Parlor.
Decorated Christmas trees will be on display reflecting the progression of ornamentation available to German families throughout the years.

The Saucon Valley Conservancy is a not-for-profit 501 (c)(3) organization whose mission is to preserve the historic and natural environment of the Saucon Valley as an educational and recreational resource for area citizens and visitors. The major stewardship of the Conservancy is the Michael Heller Homestead and the Saucon Creek corridor.
Description
Saucon Valley Conservancy (SVC) has worked to preserve the Michael Heller Farmstead and is now in the process of preserving the historic barn located on the property.
SVC promotes cultural, historic and environmental education through hosting events such as the Living History Days by Historic Impressions of America, Civil War re-enactments, bird-watching walks, and a new rotating art gallery.
