Through the Neighbor-to-Neighbor Program, A Wider Circle furnishes more than 4,400 homes and moves 7 million pounds of furniture per year. The families we serve are moving out of shelters or have been living without basic need items. Every day a person volunteers here translates into more families having the opportunity to create stability and independence.
At our Center for Community Service, Neighbor- to-Neighbor volunteers may help to load a client's vehicle, help organize and sort incoming donations, or restock our showroom floor. People of all skill sets can find a meaningful task!
You may also go out on the trucks and pick up donations throughout the region. Volunteers need to be mature and strong enough to carry half of a sleeper sofa, which we know many of you can do!
Opportunities are available, Monday - Saturday 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. and Sunday 12:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
To get started, please send an email to volunteer@awidercircle.org.

Mission Statement
This mission of A Wider Circle is simple: to end poverty for one individual and one family after another
Description
A Wider Circle is a 501(c)(3) grassroots nonprofit organization that provides holistic support to families in need. We furnish the homes of children and adults who are transitioning out of domestic violence or homeless shelters, or who are simply living without what most of us take for granted - beds, dressers, sheets, towels, and other basic need items. We offer educational programs on topics ranging from job skills and money management to stress management and other life skills. We also provide wrap-around support to those seeking to enter or re-enter the workforce, including professional attire, education, and one-on-one support. We work with the most vulnerable among us, and we do whatever we can do to help them move toward stability and independence.
