Essential Theatre’s mission is to nurture and produce new works by Georgia playwrights and to enrich our audience’s experience by actively engaging them in the process. Join our Board today to celebrate Essential's - and Georgia's - rich theatre history and the community in which our playwrights grow and thrive.
Essential Theatre is very proud of our reputation for presenting high quality productions of new works by Georgia Playwrights each year. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit employing a diverse group of participants and catering to an equally diverse audience. To help us further promote our mission and grow our company as we head into our 20th annual festival this summer, Essential Theatre is actively seeking 2 to 3 new board members, and in particular we are seeking a board member willing to serve as Treasurer.
As our production schedule is limited to a 5 week summer new play festival, so time commitment will be limited. The greatest time commitment for our Treasurer will occur around our Festival, which takes place late July through late August, and around the end of our fiscal year, which is February 28.
Our board meets on a quarterly schedule. Board members are asked to make a minimum $500 annual contribution to our general operating fund. Join us in celebrating Essential's - and Georgia's - rich theatre history and the community in which our playwrights grow and thrive. Become a board member today!
