Second Judicial Circuit Florida Guardian Ad Litem Program
Want to help children in your community that have experienced abuse and neglect? Become a volunteer Child Advocate with the Guardian ad Litem Program.
Guardians ad Litem are court appointed advocates for children in the child welfare system. Our volunteer child advocates visit the children regularly, talk with teachers, therapists, physicians, etc. to get a holistic understanding of the child’s life, and ensure all the child’s needs are met. Advocates attend court hearings and along with our program staff, make recommendations to the Judge in regards to the child’s best interest. Through heartfelt advocacy, our goal is to ensure every child is safe, healthy and thrives in a permanent home.

The mission of Florida’s Guardian ad Litem Program and start helping children in your community. Volunteer Child Advocates speak on behalf of children who have experienced abuse, abandonment and neglect. Our goal is to help children find their way to a safe, loving and permanent home
The Florida GAL Program is a statewide agency that serves as a powerful voice for abused and neglected children. The Program staff partner with individuals in the community to be a voice for these children in court. Guardians ad Litem are your friends, neighbors and co-workers who make a difference in less than 8-10 hours per month. Guardians are trained and certified to serve as advocates. The Program also recruits pro bono attorneys. It is the GAL vision to provide a volunteer for each and every abused and neglected child who needs one.
We'll work with your schedule.
