Do you love dance? Zenon Dance School, Inc. is looking for volunteers to serve on our dynamic and enterprising Board of Directors. Terms are limited to 2 years. We are seeking individuals who are currently employed at larger Twin Cities' corporations, including Target, General Mills, 3M, Medtronic, Travelers, etc. Experience in marketing, finance, or fundraising is also desired. For now, Board meetings are conducted via Zoom.

Zenon Dance School is truly at the heart of a vibrant dance community in Minnesota. Since 1983, we have been teaching professional through avocational students of dance. Our two beautiful studios are located in the Cowles Center for Dance in downtown Minneapolis. Zenon teaches a broad variety of styles including traditional techniques such as ballet, modern, and jazz as well as hip hop, afro-modern, and breakdance. The school’s faculty consists of 40-50 of the area’s leading teachers, dancers, and choreographers.

Along with our weekly schedule of classes, we also offer the "Zenon Dance Zone" program - an intensive adult dance program that deepens dance experience through technique classes and performance opportunities. Students work with talented emerging Twin Cities choreographers and perform in three concerts each year. "Zone" is unique in the Twin Cities, serving as a springboard to professional careers for dancers, teachers and choreographers.

Zenon has always been known as a fearless company that prioritizes artistic excellence. In facing the COVID-19 pandemic, our staff drew on this history to completely change the way we deliver our programming, launching a digital platform in March. "ZenONLINE" is currently offering 15 classes per week for people to participate in from their homes. Based on the positive reaction of our community to ZenONLINE, we are continuing to offer it this fall in a hybrid model, where students can choose to join classes virtually or in-person in our Cowles Center studios.
