The TPE Family

Traveling Players Ensemble seeks Board Members to join its mission to bring classical theater into the great outdoors. Join us in creating opportunities for middle and high school students to connect with our community and each other through the performing arts. TPE provides a rigorous artistic and educational experience for ensemble members. The arts education and philanthropic communities have recognized TPE's excellence repeatedly. The Folger Shakespeare Library recognized TPE with distinguished acting and ensemble awards. The National Endowment for the Arts selected TPE as a "Summer School in the Arts" program. The Catalog for Philanthropy includes TPE in its Guide for Giving. The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation awarded TPE a sizeable grant which paid for scholarships allowing more youth to participate in the program. TPE has performed at the Wolftrap International Children's Festival, the Reston Multicultural Festival, and the historic Lime Kiln Theater in Lexington, VA.
TPE is searching for Board Member willing to commit a few hours each month to helping this organization grow. We are especially interested in Fairfax County residents, people with experience in fundraising, finance, and marketing. Board members do not make programming or casting decisions. Board positions are unpaid and those interested in serving must submit an application. Applicants will be considered for membership at the quarterly board meeting held after submitting a completed application.
