Do you want to make a difference in a child's life? A Volunteer Child Advocate with the Guardian ad Litem program works as part of a team to help ensure that the best interest is being met of children in your community that is in the foster care system. A Volunteer Advocate will visit with the child/siblings on their case at least once a month and talk to those people that are important in the child's life to help understand and then advocate for what is in that child's best interest. A volunteer spends an average of 8 hours per month volunteering and the hours are mainly flexible so you can work around your schedule. The need is great in Putnam county, currently only half of the foster children in Putnam County are being advocated for. All children deserve someone to speak up for them, can you be that person?
