MatureWorks, located in the Central Ohio area, serves mature job seekers 50 years of age and older, pursuing employment opportunities and career changes.

The Volunteer Job Counselors provide initial and ongoing contact for new and current clients of MatureWorks Volunteers work at the MatureWorks office one morning per week (or alternate weeks), within 9am until 1pm, to meet, register and interview new clients, update clients' electronic files, give basic resume reviews, conduct practice interview sessions and provide clients with information on the services and programs of MatureWorks and other resources as appropriate. Job Counselors provide clients with job leads to employers who have job openings posted on the MatureWorks JobList. The Volunteer Job Counselors also maintain contact with their clients to provide ongoing encouragement and information about MatureWorks workshops and hiring events that would be beneficial to the client.

Successful volunteers have been mature job seekers themselves. We are looking for individuals with a human resources, workforce development, or management background, or those who have assisted in a hiring process during their own extensive careers.
