Do you have a passion for helping others? Are you looking for a way to connect and give back? Do you cherish the stories told of days gone by?
Families in our community are often 24 hour caregivers for their spouse, parents, grandparents or loved one. Many of these folks are experiencing some form of Dementia or Alzheimer's Disease. It is important for their caregiver's well being that they get a break every now and then. Our volunteers provide 3-4 hours of relief each week for the caregiver so they are able to run a personal errand, go to the grocery store or simply take a walk. If you have the desire to help others, listen to stories, provide your support to a family or simply share your heart and a smile, we have many opportunities for you to shine. If you know someone who might like this opportunity, please pass it on.
AmeriCorps positions also available, providing opportunity to earn education awards (great gifts for your children or grandchildren!), monthly living allowance and in depth training and support.
