Our bookstore is an ideal opportuity for anyone who enjoys books and reading. A typical shift is two hours once per week and there are generally two volunteers on duty. The bookstore is adjacent to the Heritage Park Library in Irvine. See our website http://www.heritagefol.com/ for more information.
One volunteer sits at a desk, greets customers, assists the customer in finding books, calculates the total for the sale and makes change.
The other volunteer works at sorting and shelving donated books, CDs, and DVDs.

Description
The Friends of the Library run a used book store in which donations received are sold for modest amounts. Virtually all proceeds from the sale are used to support programs in the library. There are no paid employees.
