Aniz, Incorporated seeks dynamic and dedicated leaders for Board of Directors membership. Aniz Senior Staff members and acting Board Chair will assess candidates for the talents, abilities, and vision they demonstrate. In order to become an active member of our Board of Directors, ideal candidates should posess one or more of the following qualities/skills:

-Financial planning

-Resource Development and Management

-Strategic planning

-Experience in clinical and/or health-related careers is a plus

-Commitment to participate in monthly virtual, or physical board meetings when necessary.

This is an extraordinary opportunity for an individual who is passionate about Aniz’s mission and who has a track record of board leadership. Selected Board Members will have achieved leadership stature in business, government, philanthropy, Medicine or the nonprofit sector. His/her/their accomplishments will allow him/her/them to attract other well-qualified, high-performing Board Members.

Responsibilities of incoming Boars Members are as follows:

  • Serving as a trusted advisor to the CEO as she develops and implements Aniz’s strategic plan
  • Reviewing outcomes and metrics created by Aniz, Inc for evaluating its impact, and regularly measuring its performance and effectiveness using those metrics; reviewing agenda and supporting materials prior to board and committee meetings
  • Approving Aniz’s annual budget, audit reports, and material business decisions; being informed of, and meeting all, legal and fiduciary responsibilities
  • Contributing to an annual performance evaluation of the CEO
  • Assisting the CEO and board chair in identifying and recruiting other Board Members
  • Partnering with the CEO and other board members to ensure that board resolutions are carried out
  • Serving on committees or task forces and taking on special assignments
  • Representing Aniz to stakeholders; acting as an ambassador for the organization
  • Ensuring Aniz’s commitment to a diverse board and staff that reflects the communities Aniz serves

Aniz, Inc. is a non-profit organization. Our mission is to provide comprehensive health and awareness education and prevention services for disadvantaged multicultural youth, young adults and families, and to provide skills training to organizations that implement prevention and healthy life choice programs.

Aniz, Inc. was formed in 1994 as a 501 (c) (3), non-profit human services organization to empower children and adults through professional support and therapeutic intervention.

Our staff consists of professionals and paraprofessionals representing over 40 years of combined experience in many disciplines. Our multi-disciplinary team specializes in:

HIV/AIDS Support and Testing

Mental Health
Substance Abuse
Case Management Services
Support Groups for Affected/Infected Children
Program Development and Evaluation

By working in collaboration with agencies and other non-profit organizations serving the African and multicultural communities, we are able to reach those who have historically been overlooked and underserved.
