This is a virtual opportunity, calls and texts can be answered from anywhere in New Jersey. Volunteers receive 24-hours of training provided by the Parents Inc. staff. After completion of the training, volunteers give four hours a week of their time to staff the Helpline, from their homes. Volunteers also receive on-going support and supervision throughout the duration of their experience.

The purpose of the Parents Inc. Family Helpline is to provide support to parents before a crisis happens. Most parents who call the line are under stress and want to avoid a hurtful episode with their children. The Helpline serves as both intervention and prevention measures.
