Lily and her coach, Ms. Sue!

The Family Learning Institute provides free, individualized, one-on-one tutoring for low-income and academically struggling 2nd-5th graders in Washtenaw County. Our volunteer tutors work with the same student, on the same day, at the same time, once a week from September 2018 through the end of the school year (June 2019). Our program next year will begin in September and end in June, following the Ann Arbor Public School Schedule. Locations will vary. Absolutely no tutoring or teaching experience is necessary -- all materials, training, and support are provided by FLI. So, if you have one hour between 4 and 6p any week day, Monday through Thursday, know how to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, AND ESPECIALLY if you want to help a young student, we would love to hear from you!
