ORGANIZATION: Begin Anew of Middle Tennessee

Christian Women's Job Corps is a faith based program offering a hand up to men and women in poverty while they study for their GED, Computer and Job Skills, or ESL. We provide a free, safe, loving place for their children while they are in class. Childcare volunteers help kids with their homework, playtime, snack time and provide some loving quality time for some very special kids.

Opportunities are available at any of our three satellites......Williamson County, Downtown Nashville or Madison. Most volunteers help out one evening a week (evenings vary by satellite.....call to check out the schedule of the satellite near you!) but we are flexible!

Begin Anew of Middle Tennessee empowers individuals to overcome obstacles caused by poverty by providing education, mentoring and resources.

Begin Anew is a faith-based education program working to empower individuals to overcome obstacles created by poverty by providing education, mentoring, and resources.

Begin Anew operates programs at four locations throughout Middle Tennessee (Woodbine, Downtown Nashville, Madison, Franklin). Along with weekly Bible study and no-cost programming and care for our students’ children, we offer three education tracks in separate programs to men and to women:

  • HSE (High School Equivalency)
  • ELL (English Language Learners) accommodating three levels of instruction
  • Computer and Job Skills Training
We provide encouragers and prayer partners so that our students never walk alone as they pursue life changing educational opportunities.
