About

Tutor children and teens with academic schoolwork. Tutors will sit with a child/teen and help them with schoolwork by providing examples so they can better understand the subject matter.

Purpose/objective: This is non-paid. Tutors are very helpful and influential to the children/teens. Tutors help by guiding and showing children/teens new ways of learning and remembering formulas and/or specific skills. Tutors are a great asset because they demonstrate time and commitment to children/teens that otherwise would not get the help they need.

This is a great opportunity for anyone who is planning a future career in Teaching, Child Development, Humanities, Counseling, and/or any other related field. As a tutor you can be proud that your service is helping shape our society into a smarter and safer environment. Our after school program helps children/teens get better grades and keeps them focused in school. We want our future leaders to have better opportunities so that they have an opportunity to become professionals. Your contribution can provide a great benefit to developing better and brighter minds.

We are always thinking of new ideas for programs and our Volunteers are constantly consulted to help us improve. As a Volunteer you will become part of our team and we will help you excel in your future career decisions.
