About THE TALKIN' MONKEYS PROJECT

Location:

1655 PANAMA AVENUE, CLEWISTON, FL 33440, US

Mission Statement

We are an educational primate sanctuary. We act as a rescue facility for primates from pet owners, breeding facilities and zoos. This project is a 501c3, non-profit corporation with multi-faceted goals spearheaded by our concern for the environment and its effect on the primates of the world. We strive to make the general public aware of or connection with the natural world of primates to which we all, (as primates ourselves!), belong. We endeavor to share our knowledge of things we all can do to assure the survival of all primates in the world today.

Description

We are an educational primate sanctuary which provides permanent, safe, hurricane friendly long term housing for rescued primates. We employ eco friendly gardening, composting and irrigation for the more naturalistic environments using bamboo, edible plants and hurricane friendly shade canopys. We provide enrichment, healthy meals and comfortable caging and nighthouses.
