Located inside Sugar Sand Park Community Center, the Children's Science Explorium is a hands-on science center designed to enhance 5-12 year olds' knowledge of everyday physical sciences.

We rely on fun, creative, friendly and knowledgeable staff volunteers to share their enthusiasm with our visitors. As an Exhibit Guide, you will greet and interact with children and adults, help patrons explore and learn from our exhibits, lead small programs (such as a science story time or impromptu science experiments), and assist staff emmebrs with demonstrations, classes and birthday parties.

Volunteers work a minimum of 7 hours per month, and a minimum 30 hours overall.

Weekday hours of operation are 9:00am - 6:00pm
Weekend and holiday hours are 10:00am - 5:00pm
