Counselors needed to help Burlington County clients better understand the confusing Medicare System, Part D Prescription Plan or choosing a supplemental health insurance company. Free training provided. Volunteers can counsel at community site, or over the phone in their home, whichever they prefer. The latter is great for people not choosing to drive and so can volunteer from the comfort of their home in their slippers! Very rewarding experience helping people one on one. RSVP recruits, interviews and places persons 55 and over in meaningful volunteer positions. We are affiliated with multiple non-profits in Burlington County. We have job descriptions from these organizations to help us find the appropriate volunteer positions. We also have programs that we directly administer such as our State Health Insurance Assistance Program, A Matter of Balance, Chronic Disease/Pain Self-Management, the Money Management Bill Payer Program and the Fit & Strong! Program..

Make a Difference in Your Community!
The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) provides opportunities for people 55 and over to make a difference in their community through volunteer service. RSVP volunteers can choose an opportunity that allows them to volunteer as little or as much as they would like each month, serving through schools, adult day care centers, the tax program, health related educational programming and other nonprofit and public organizations to help meet critical community needs. RSVP offers maximum flexibility and choice to its volunteers. RSVP matches the personal interests and skills of older Americans with opportunities to help solve community problems and offers supplemental insurance while on duty, and on-the-job training from the agency or organization where volunteers are placed.
