Skybacher Ministries is looking for volunteers to help with our weekly Pray & Play open gym outreach. Each Sunday from 6:30 to 8:30pm, we pick two all-inclusive sports or games (dodgeball, kickball, paper football etc.) to play with our students (between 5th-12th grade). This is followed by a time of fellowship and prayer for students' families, friends, and school.
Volunteers are asked to 1) actively participate in games and fellowship time, 2) model healthy and supportive behavior to our students, and 3) listen to students' hearts about their prayer concerns.
Volunteers must have or obtain the PA-mandated background checks required to work with students. Perfect for senior project or community service hours!

Description
Skybacher Ministries Inc. is a non-profit youth sports ministry. We offer various sports and youth programs througout the year to students ranging from kindergartern through 12th grade.
Our main programs include: 1) a weekly sports and play outreach for students in 5th - 12th grade where students are taught the importance of spiritual and physical fitness; 2) 12 sports tournaments (dodgeball, kickball, flag football etc.) for elementary through high students where students learn teamwork, sportsmanship, and are given a message of hope each time; 3) our summer "More Than" Sports Camps where we coach and teach a variety of sports while infusing daily virtue lessons and teamwork challenges; and 4) after school basketball program, HangTime, for students in the 1st through 4th grades.
We are always looking for like-minded individuals who are passionate about coaching and mentoring students.
