Naples Free-Net offers several rewarding opportunities to put your computer skills and expertise to work. Volunteers are needed for help and tech team support as well as to teach in our various computer-related classes. View our home page at home.naples.net.
Help Team: Help Team volunteers support NFN accounts when people sign up for or renew their internet service. They also handle technical issues related to problems with internet connections and email problems. These volunteers need to be familiar with computers and feel comfortable running software. We provide the training necessary to handle the more advanced and specific problems relating to our dial up and DSL networking service.
Tech Team: Tech Team volunteers operate/troubleshoot the servers and equipment that make our dial up service available to our membership. This is a technically demanding job and volunteers in this area will need to be very familiar with server hardware and the associated software to run them.
Teachers: Teacher volunteers facilitate our computer related classes. These educational classes cover hardware, basic computer use, internet and email use, and specific software classes like Excel or Word. These instructors need to have knowledge in the specific area they are training.
Board of Directors: We need people with a business background to help us operate effectively and get the word out about our services.
Marketing: We need people with marketing background to help us market our services.
