Help lead 3 day life changing experiential workshops at the Colorado Correctional Center in Golden, CO. Workshops are fast-paced, weaving together interactive exercises, facilitated discussions, role plans, humor and games. The program has demonstrated results in reducing recidivism rates, reducing write-ups in prisons, and reducing levels of anger. Workshop session are conducted on Tuesdays through Thursdays from 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. Training is provided and you will be working with other trained volunteers. For more than thirty years, AVP Colorado, formerly the New Foundations Nonviolence Center, has helped people in in communities and in prisons to transform their lives. Through Alternatives to Violence workshops, we give people the tools they can use to learn new ways to communicate and resolve conflict without resorting to manipulation, coercion, or violence.
