Collecting Thousands of Pair of Shoes
Meeting people, Engaging In Conversation, and Collecting Shoe Donations is a Fun Activity that could lead to a Job and/or Income Opportunity.

The Harmonious Volunteer Center is currently engaged in providing Community Service; Volunteer Training Systems; and Assistance To Community Based Organizations. We have need of 200 volunteers who can volunteer in Pennsylvania's 67 Counties and in other States. Our activities includes: 1. Building a New Community Center in urban populated cities. 2. Obtaining one million tons of computer & electronic equipment. 3. Obtaining one million pair of Gently worn, Used and New shoes (www.hvcshoedrivecampaign.org). SHOE DRIVE) for emergency disaster victims in the United States and 3rd world disadvantaged countries as well as an environmental impact by diverting these materials from our landfills. 4. Mission Statement

The Harmonious Volunteer Center provides Community Service; Volunteer Training Systems; and Assistance To Community Based Organizations. Our organization works concerning 5 major areas of our society which is: Project Companionship which addresses our aging and elderly population; Project Youth which deals with positive development influences for young people; Project Literacy concerning our activities with diversity within cultures; Project Awareness adressing our means of multiple communications; and Project Support which allows our organization to be self sufficient and sustainable. Our organization provides volunteer accreditation for community service provided. Description

The day to day operations of the Harmonious Volunteer Center entails conducting demonstration models that are replicable and proven successful. The organization currently operates 40 various programs dealing with employment enhancements, skill development and job readiness; crime reduction and anti-violence programs; computer training, refurbishing, and environmental recycling; along with good goverment programs for effecting social and policy changes. The organization advocates for Public Access in Philadelphia; Health and Medical Services and Townwatch supports. Our organization provides humanitarian services for disaster areas. The Harmonious Volunteer Center is a fiduciary trust and offers mini grants to community based organizations through an assortment of fund raising programs.
