ORGANIZATION: Friendly Center

Tutoring session

26,064 is the estimated number of kids in OC who are homeless or reside in unstable housing.

By the end of 4th grade, low-income students are prone to be two grade levels behind due to circumstances outside their control.

Friendly Center needs your help to make sure K-8 students don’t fall behind.

We are seeking enthusiastic volunteers for our summer tutoring program. Tutors will work with children from low-income families that need academic support. Tutors assist students with their homework, reading, writing and enrichment activities. Our summer session schedule is as follows:

June 24th - August 14th (Monday thru Friday) 9am to 2pm

(We ask that our tutors commit to one to two days a week.)
