During these uncertain times, how can we help?
See below to access our COVID-19 Resource Hub, and to explore our growing directory of COVID-19-specific and virtual volunteering opportunities.
Are you looking for fun and engaging volunteer opportunities while sheltering in place? We have many independent craft project ideas to help keep you busy and contribute to a good cause, all at the same time!
Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice is a not-for-profit, non-sectarian agency based in Marlton, NJ caring for people suffering from serious, progressive illness and grief. Your projects are delivered to our patients to help brighten their day!
Choose one or multiple projects and work on it at your leisure. Projects may be delivered to the lobby of our administrative office in Marlton or they may be mailed.
When the pandemic has cleared, we will resume our SamariTeens program, our ongoing teen volunteer group, that meets in Marlton and Voorhees, NJ one evening per month rotating locations, from 6-7:30pm, to make crafts for our patients and families to help bring some joy to their day. We occasionally visit assisted living residences to play games with the residents.
You also have the opportunity to represent Samaritan at teen volunteer fairs by manning an information table, participate in fundraisers, collection drives, and support annual events.
The cool thing? There are no mandatory requirements - you attend as many activities that fit your schedule and that you’d enjoy.
For project ideas, please email me, Sharon Wenner, at swenner@samaritannj.org.
Thanks!!
