Bone Builders is a weight-bearing, low impact exercise program designed to delay or prevent the onset of osteoporosis. Trained RSVP volunteers lead these groups twice weekly in a number of locations throughout Chemung County. RSVP provides the training, including an annual refresher for all trainers. Improve your own physical health, meet new people, and help others have fun at the same time!

Make a Difference in Your Community!
Description
Make a Difference in Your Community!
CVAC is a program of Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chemung County.
CVAC provides education and opportunities for people of all ages to make a difference in their community through volunteer service. CVAC volunteers contribute anywhere from a few to over forty hours a week, serving through schools, hospitals, food pantries, and other nonprofit and public organizations to help meet critical community needs. Our staff members work with agencies and organizations to offer individuals maximum flexibility and choice.
With CVAC you can either enroll as a Cornell Cooperative Extension volunteer to work directly with our programs, or sign you up as an affiliated volunteer and work with any number of partner agencies. In both cases, we match your interests to those of agencies needing your skills and talents.
