The Daniel Bryant Center provides confidential, effective outpatient treatment for young people struggling with alcohol and other drug problems. The Local Summit for Danny Climb will occur on October 24th 2009 at Manning Park where there will be entertainment and an after the climb BBQ! For more information about Summit For Danny, visit www.summitfordanny.org.

We are in need of friendly and energetic volunteers who can help with set-up, direct hikers to the proper parking and climb locations, help man the hand-out tables, and clean up. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact:

Description

Friday Night Live (FNL) Program:

Builds partnerships for positive and healthy youth development, which engages youth as active leaders and resources in their communities. Through a statewide network youth will develop advocacy and social skills, to help them become effective leaders while working on youth-lead youth-driven campaigns for their school campuses, as well as their community.

Daniel Bryant Youth & Family Treatment Center:

Provides drug and alcohol treatment services for youth ages 12-17 as well as education and support for their families through a combination of acupuncture; individual counseling; group counseling and education sessions on topics related to recovery, detoxification + withdrawal management, relapse prevention, family supports groups and family therapy.

Teen Court:

An innovative approach to juvenile justice, Teen Court acts as an early intervention for first-time offenders by diverting them out of the traditional juvenile system. All functions of Teen Court are carried out by teens, and sentences include jury duty, community service, counseling, and education classes.
