The Challenge Program, Inc. will hold its Crystal Owl Gala at the Carnegie Music Hall on Thursday, April 27, 2017. This is a black-tie optional event.

We are looking for young professionals and adult volunteers over 21 years of age to assist with with the event including; setting up the silent auction, the wine pull, the dice game and assisting through the evening with these activities, ushering and after event auction check-out as runners, etc

This is a wonderful networking opportunity as well as a chance to help our non-profit organization as we raise essential funds for our program and mission.

During this event we also have a short program where three students tell us how The Challenge Program, Inc. helped them turn around their habits and behaviors and one student is named Student of the Year. It is a very inspiring part of the evening.

Our mission is to build sustainable business/education partnerships while introducing students to career opportunities in their communities. This partnership contribute to economic and workforce development by motivating students to develop strong work habits required for school and their future careers.

Mission Statement

The mission of T he Challenge Program, Inc. is to motivate students to improve their grades, attend school and get involved in their communities. It also builds a bridge between high school students and the business community.

Description

The Challenge Program, Inc. rewards four (4) students from each of the sophomore, junor and senior classes a $250 check, totaling twelve (12) awards per school in the following categories: Most Improved in the Class, Best Attendance, Most community Service, and Best Overall GPA in the Class.

In addition, business partners are matched with each participating high school to fund awards and, just as importantly, mentor students and support them in achieving their own long-term goals.

To date, the program has been introduced to more than 140,000 students in 109 school in three states (PA, DE, WV).
