We are looking for adult volunteers who can help be a caretaker at a special Feral feline enclosure - tending to the needs of these special cats. You will make a critical difference in our ability to provide sanctuary for a group of feral and semi-feral cats who due to unusual circumstances could not return to their feral colony. Duties include cleaning of open air enclosures, cages, litterboxes, and providing fresh food and water, and general maintenance tasks.
Also enjoy the additional benefit of spending time with these cats - some do become freindly and as a result of the care you give may become adoptable in the future. Be amongst great cats and volunteers who are thankful for your help!
Shifts are once a week for 2 to 3 hours depending on size of crew. Most shifts are done in evenings or weekend afternoons, although we are also working on developing a mornings crew, too.
If you are interested, please go to our website www.happytails.org. Once at our site, click Volunteer and then Getting Started to sign up for a New Volunteer Orientation meeting where you can learn more about our organization and how to get started helping animals. Thank you!
