During these uncertain times, how can we help?
See below to access our COVID-19 Resource Hub, and to explore our growing directory of COVID-19-specific and virtual volunteering opportunities.
Hospice Volunteers may visit patients, provide temporary relief and support to grieving caregivers. Tasks may include running errands, talking, reading, listening and providing emotional support to the hospice patient and family. Vigil Volunteers visit patients that are nearing death. Our Vet to Vet program assigns volunteers who are veterans to visit patients that are Veterans. Volunteers also perform a wide variety of office and support functions such as answering phones, typing, assembling mailings, filing, assisting with fund raising and public relations projects. Volunteers with special interests may record videos of patients sharing their life stories, entertain a patient by playing a musical instrument, do yard work, wash cars, do light house cleaning, put up holiday decorations or have a license or certificate to provide special care to patients such as a barber or massage therapist.
