The Denver Hospice, founded in 1978, is the leading nonprofit hospice & palliative care provider, the largest in Colorado. Please reply with your mailing address, so that we may send you our informational packet & application. By completing that application, and sending it in the prepaid envelope provided, that will be the first step to becoming a valued volunteer with The Denver Hospice! We do ask that all volunteers give a commitment of at least 1 year serving at least twice per month (exact hours/schedule is flexible), complete all required trainings, reference checks, interviews, paperwork, as well as a background check & tuberculosis testing (background check and TB testing provided at no cost to you). To volunteer with The Denver Hospice at this time, you must be at least 18 years of age.
Currently we are accepting applications to volunteer with our patients & families in the home, nursing home or care center settings; or with our office staff, special projects, fundraising, grant research, special events and administrative projects. If you have certain skills you'd like to share, please let us know!
We serve 900 patients and families through out the 9 county Denver-metro area. Currently volunteers are needed in Littleton, Centennial, Englewood, Aurora, Denver, Golden, Lakewood, Morrison, Commerce City, Northglenn, Thornton, Westminster, Parker, Brighton, Castle Rock, and other areas, so please let us know what area is conveinent for you!
