Description
HOW IS THE MISSION CARRIED OUT? MSC works with women to achieve their goals by providing them with the resources they need either by offering it onsite or referring them to the appropriate agency. Through our work, we have recognized that women identify housing and employment as the two factors of most concern to them as they set out to begin the reintegration process. A host of other concerns quickly emerge, and MSC has created a range of programs and services to address those needs. These core services are as follows:
- The Sisters of Support (SOS) recovery program
- Case Management Services
- Recovery Mentoring
- Job Readiness Training
- Personal Development Workshops
- Supportive Housing - MSC operates a 6 bed supportive housing facility "Nona's Place" for women. "Nona's Place" is a lovely 1861 sq. ft. three (3) bedroom, two (2) bath brick home safely nestled in the southern sector of Dallas that accommodates six (6) women, two (2) per bedroom. Amenities include:
· Kitchen & Laundry Facilities
· Ample Closets
· Shared Computer
· Internet Access
· Cable TV
