Spiritual Support Volunteer in Hospice
Looking for volunteers who will provide spiritual and emotional support to our hospice patients and their families. Hospice volunteers do not impose their own spiritual beliefs on the patient or the family as our patients are of many faiths. They may help perform spiritual assessments to help identify patient/family needs. Volunteers can also help patients facilitate spiritual healing and growth through life review, active listening, prayer, music, and readings. The spiritual support volunteer may be the liaison to the patient's personal spiritual care provider and/or Hospice Chaplain.
Additional educational opportunities available including workshops and shadowing Hospice Chaplains. Great position for volunteers of all faiths including students who may be pursuing a degree in Religion or Divinity.
We service patients in Bucks, Montgomery, Berks, Schuylkill, and Philly counties so we have patients in your area!
