The Habitat ReStore helps Habitat for Humanity build homes by raising funds through the sale of donated items. We accept new and gently used building-related materials from contractors, suppliers, individuals, remodelers and property managers.
Volunteers provide customer service: greet customers, answer the telephone, assist customers, and operate cash register. Monitor and prepare inventory for sales floor. Price inventory based on ReStore Pricing Policy.
In addition to supporting the construction of new homes, the ReStore preserves our environment by keeping surplus building materials out of our landfills.
Habitat for Humanity works in partnership with God and people everywhere, from all walks of life, to develop communities with God's people in need by building and renovating houses, so that there are decent houses in decent communities in which God's people can live and grow into all that God intended.
Habitat for Humanity is an ecumenical Christian housing ministry that works in partnership with people in need of decent shelter to build simple, decent houses. Habitat homeowners purchase their houses through no-profit, no-interest mortgages while contributing hundreds of hours of "sweat equity" labor working on their house and the houses of others. Mortgage payments are placed in a revolving "Fund for Humanity" to finance the construction of future homes.
