Volunteer needed to support Facilities Manager with day-to-day operations of Safe House for women and children who have experienced domestic violence. Duties include: Facilities/maintenance:i.e., changing lightbulbs, vacuum dryer vents, recycling and moving supplies between buildings (some lifting required). Facilities Assistant: Support the Facilities Manager by organizing the office and storage areas; assisting with donations by taking phone messages and picking up items. Facilities landscaping: Basic weeding, some planting and watering. Hours are flexible!

Description
JBWS is a full-service, private, nonprofit domestic violence agency. We offer a 24 hour, free and confidential helpline, emergency safe house for victims and their children, counseling and legal assistance, children's services, transitional housing, life-skills education, vocational counseling, community education, training for professionals, teenage dating abuse prevention, primary prevention and batterers' intervention.
