Positition Title:

Volunteer Management Team Deployment Specialist. Ensures effective involvement of volunteers by preparing them for and supporting them during responses to a disaster. This includes setting up access for staff members to Cardwiz, supplying Disaster Staff Cards and providing RRT, ECRV and ERV crews with Disaster Staff Cards and Disaster Staff Card information brochures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development of a spontaneous volunteer management plan and implement during times of large scale disasters
• Provide current members with user IDs and passwords for DSHR Self-Serve
• Send DSHR profile and forms annually
• Advise members of available training
• Provide DSHR identification cards
• Monitor member availability and update as necessary
• Contact all members to ensure readiness to deploy during specific disaster seasons (e.g., hurricane, flood, tornado, etc.).
• Check the DSHR system for member availability matching open recruitment needs and contact those members for deployment.
• Complete post-deployment evaluation and debrief
