The University of Virginia Music Department hosts over 100 concerts a year. Volunteers who are experienced photographers and interested in music are needed to take promotional photographs. Most events are held at Old Cabell Hall on the historic Lawn at the University of Virginia. Photographers also take photos of music classes, rehersals, students, faculty, guests, and instruments. Equipment can be borrowed for those who do not own high-res cameras.
Volunteers are also needed to select, edit, and catalogue photographs.

The McIntire Department of Music at the University of Virginia hosts over 100 events in the academic year. Degree programs are available in the following areas: Performance, Critical and Comparative Studies, Composition and Computer Technologies, and Music Encoding Initiative.
Description
As a volunteer for the McIntire Department of Music you will meet and work with people who bring unique gifts and enthusiasm to their work. Our volunteers come from many diverse occupations and backgrounds and are pursuing different goals, but they share a common interest in music and an appreciation for the many programs that are produced by the McIntire Department of Music.
Volunteer positions are both challenging and rewarding experiences that foster personal, professional and intellectual growth. Volunteer opportunities are available for regular assignments as well as on-call opportunities for special events such as concerts, lectures, fundraisers and receptions.
