ORGANIZATION: Kosciusko Home Care & Hospice, Inc

There are a variety of ways to volunteer with our organization. A Volunteer Companion provides emotional, social, and practical support to the hospice patient and his/her loved ones. This can include; providing meals, reading, sitting with the patient, running errands, writing letters, sharing hobbies, and listening. A Volunteer Bereavement Companion provides support to friends, family members, and/or caregivers who have lost a loved one through hospice. An Office Volunteer provides administrative and clerical support for the Hospice program. Other volunteer opportunities frequently become available, depending on the needs of our patients and their loved ones.

We are flexible and will work around your schedule.

Description

Hospice provides end of life care when a cure is no longer possible. We provide pain and symptom control with an emphasis on quality of life. The hospice staff provides physical, emotional, social, and spiritual support to the individual and their loved ones.
