Mission Statement
The mission of the CASA program serving Deschutes, Jefferson and Crook Counties is to provide trained citizen volunteers to advocate for abused and neglected children and to ensure that children have a voice in Court.
Description
CASA volunteers are ordinary citizens from all walks of life. They are committed to doing what is best for a child. All volunteers are thoroughly trained in courtroom procedure, social services, the Juvenile Justice system and the special needs of abused and neglected children. As advocates, CASA volunteers commit an average of 10-15 hours per month to their cases. It is difficult but very gratifying work.
