CASA volunteers are assigned by a juvenile judge to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children who are under the protection of the court. The focus is on safety and permanency for the children. CASA volunteers investigate the circumstances of the child's situation, write reports to the Court and monitor the Court's orders. The North Iowa CASA program serves Cerro Gordo, Floyd, Hancock, Mitchell, Worth and Winnebago counties and is open to men and women of various racial and ethnic backgrounds.
