Join our City Team as an Information Desk Volunteer in our newly-refurbished customer area! The Information front desk is the first point of contact at City Hall. You'll answer phones, greet and direct City Hall visitors and assist with occasional administrative projects. This is a great opportunity to learn a lot about municipal government, city operations and community issues--with lots of people contact.
We ask a minimum 6-month commitment. You receive hands-on training with staff and existing volunteers before beginning a shift on your own. We currently need additional volunteers for these shifts:
- Mondays, 8-10 am
- Thursdays, 8-10 am
- Fridays, 8-10 am or 10 am-Noon

The City offers a variety of volunteer opportunities--one-time, episodic, weekly and monthly--through which community volunteers contribute their extraordinary reserve of knowledge, talent, and skills. Kirkland's City Council and the City Manager are supportive champions of volunteer engagement in our community.
The City of Kirkland is a Council-Manager form of government. The City Council is the legislative body; its members are the community's decision makers. The City Manager serves the Council and the community in carrying out policies and overseeing the delivery of municipal services.
