Foster Homes are the foundation of SPOT. Foster homes house the animals placed in SPOT's care until a permanent and loving home can be found. Foster Homes need to provide a quiet secure area (laundry room, bathroom, extra bedroom, stall, etc.) until the animal feels comfortable with new surroundings. Time should be spent daily interacting with the foster animal, making sure it gets quality time, as well as some exercise. If there are other animals in the home a decision will need to be made as to whether or not you want interaction with the foster animal. If that is the case the introduction should be gradual and carefully monitored. (Training Provided.)
