The California Science Center welcomes people of all backgrounds, identities, and beliefs to stimulate curiosity and inspire science learning in everyone. Guest Services Volunteer Host will provide outstanding customer service while completing a variety of tasks and responsibilities, ranging from welcoming guests as a Greeter to engaging visitors within our exhibits galleries to hosting at the IMAX theater. Act as a concierge to create a memorable and unique experience at the California Science Center. Volunteers will have the opportunity to rotate post or specialize in one.Posts include volunteering in

Description
The California Science Center is a modern facility with all-new interactive exhibits and programs, and a seven story IMAX Theater with 3D capabilities. This exciting environment makes for an extraordinary learning experience for guests of all ages. Interested teens and adults can provide assistance in several different ways including stimulating an interest in science by facilitating and encouraging hands-on learning in our educational exhibits; by assisting our curators with the plant and animal life; or by providing our guests with a warm welcome and answering questions. As a California Science Center volunteer you can enjoy many special benefits including free parking, specialized group or individual training, previews of exhibits, invitations to special events and activities. Volunteers also have an opportunity to earn free Explorer Level Membership. The minimum age for volunteers is 16. Opportunities are available 7 days a week and experience is not necessary, only the desire and willingness to be of service, to learn, and share what you learn with our guests.
